Hi, I'm Joel Ho.
An independent technology consultant helping businesses in Greater Moncton, across New Brunswick and the Maritimes spend less time on manual work and more on what matters.
For more than 20 years I've implemented technology solutions for organizations ranging from top global law firms to mid-sized companies and small businesses, across a wide range of industries.
Along the way I learned that the technology is rarely the hardest part. Understanding how a business actually works, and what its people need, is. That's why every engagement starts with listening: how the work gets done today, where time is lost, and what success would look like.
Large firms taught me rigor, security and change management at scale. Mid-sized companies taught me to focus on what pays off quickly. Small businesses taught me that every hour and every dollar counts, and that the right solution has to fit the team you have today.
Why "Foo Dog"?
Foo dogs are the guardian lions that traditionally stand watch at the entrance of important buildings. They protect what's inside. That's how I see my role: protecting and strengthening how a business runs, so its people can focus on the work that matters.
How I work
Foundation first, then automation, then AI where it genuinely helps. I give honest advice and recommend realistic solutions, and I won't promise that technology will fix everything overnight.
